Master of Surgery
Master of Surgery is a 3-year methodical postgraduate surgical training programme in General Surgery leading to the degree of Master of Surgery from any MS Colleges in Karnataka. Candidates who have completed their MBBS are eligible to apply MS in any specializations. This programme deals with the study of almost any parts of the body and also surgical procedures.
Doctors study this course to become a qualified practicing surgeon in India. The course is recognized by the Medical Council of India.
What is the curriculum of Master of Surgery?
The curriculum includes:
- Clinical case discussions
- Seminars, journal clubs and patient care.
- First-hand experience of assisting and performing surgeries under supervision.
- Practical clinical training in operation rooms and human body dissection lab thereby improving the clinical skills in the field of Oto-rhino-Laryngology.
